I was not in my element at first, but the training and support I received helped me welcome the challenge. I came from the healthcare field, so working at Bankers was quite the transition. This job puts me in situations outside of my comfort zone, but through the support of my managers and other team members, I am growing and thriving in ways I never dreamed were possible. I was a complete introvert before starting at Bankers Life. Now I set goals for myself, and my commission grows each year. I built up my product knowledge and the sales process, which, in turn, grew my confidence. Not being in sales or insurance previously, I invested time into my training. Putting in the time and effort, and really diving into the training and everything Bankers Life offers allows me to flourish and continue to grow in this business. When I first started, I had no experience in the financial industry. It’s not pushy – doing right by people is my duty. My job is to recognize problems and create a solution. My managers and coworkers at Bankers made sure I had all of the knowledge I needed to become successful. I came from the healthcare field and knew absolutely nothing about insurance. I was nervous about being new to the financial industry when I started at Bankers, and now I can’t imagine doing anything else. Understanding how much value our products bring to families is what motivates me. I didn’t really know anything about Medicare or insurance when I came to Bankers Life. I joined Bankers Life because of the financial opportunity, autonomy of running a business and opportunity to become a financial advisor. You are never alone, and if you want to be successful, then you will be. There is regular training to help you overcome areas for which you may struggle. The training, support, encouragement and sharing is beyond any company I have worked for in the past. As the world becomes more complex, clients need a better-prepared partner to help them achieve their financial goals and personal dreams. ![]() ![]() The key to long-term success as a financial services professional is a commitment to life-long learning and personal growth. This is a career that I can feel good about. I like to teach clients about their options as they get older and their lives change. Instead, I think of myself as an educator. ![]()
